Homemade snickerdoodle coffee.

It’s a popular flavor for coffee lovers who want to enjoy the taste of a snickerdoodle cookie without having to bake one themselves.

Those who enjoy sweetened coffee drinks are in luck because this coffee recipe is sweet, has a nice spiced flavor, and can be topped with whipped cream for a decadent, rich, and sweet taste.

Below, you’ll find more information about the ingredients, and I’ll get into the best coffee roasts and coffee brewing techniques to use for this recipe.

What is snickerdoodle coffee made of?

Snickerdoodle coffee is made from the following ingredients:

  • Brewed coffee
  • Brown sugar
  • Ground cinnamon
  • Ground nutmeg
  • Whipped cream
All the ingredients needed to make a snickerdoodle coffee at home.

The brewed coffee is the main ingredient for this snickerdoodle coffee. It’s important to brew coffee that you like so that you’ll enjoy every sip of it. I’ll go over some tips for the best coffee below.

As brown sugar goes, you can use dark brown sugar, but light brown sugar will also work well. It depends on what you have at home, so you can easily make this recipe work.

The spices are there to give it the snickerdoodle flavor. You can add whipped cream if you like to add some more sweetness and creaminess to your coffee!

Optionally, you can add a splash of milk. You can also froth the milk if you like. It’ll add a nice layer of depth to your coffee.

Which coffee roast works well in this snickerdoodle coffee?

A medium-dark roast with a sweet, caramelized flavor pairs well with the cinnamon and other spices that are added. It’s perfect for making this snickerdoodle coffee recipe!

A light roast would work well in this snickerdoodle coffee, as it will maintain the flavors of the cinnamon and sugar. However, a dark roast would also work well if you are looking for a more intense flavor.

My favorite coffee beans for this recipe are medium and dark roasts. I find that the lighter roasts, like blonde roast coffee, produce an underwhelming flavor that doesn’t pair well with the spices and sweetness of this drink.

These darker coffee roasts will have a stronger flavor that will stand up to the sweetness of the snickerdoodle flavors.

What is the best coffee brewing technique to use for this recipe?

There are a few different ways to brew coffee but pour over, or French press are the best methods to use for this recipe.

Pour over coffee is made by slowly pouring hot water over coffee grounds in a filter, while French press coffee is made by steeping coffee grounds in hot water before pressing the plunger down to separate the grounds from the finished coffee.

"Stirring the coffee and water together in the Chemex."

Either method will produce a great cup of coffee, so it just depends on your personal preference and which coffee brewer you already have at home.

I suggest brewing a strong cup of coffee with a high coffee to water ratio for a more intense flavor profile.

The robust flavors of the coffee will be tuned down by the added sweetness and spices, so it needs to be a bit stronger than usual for that well-balanced taste.
