If you’re a coffee lover, then you’ll love partaking in forums revolving around the beverage.

Forums are a great place to read coffee reviews, share your opinions, and learn about the latest and greatest in both coffee and coffee appliances.

There are tons of coffee forums out there, but today, I’ll try to narrow it down to some of the best.

Quick Answer: What are the best coffee forums?

The best coffee forums include Coffee Forums, Home Barista, Coffee Snobs, and Talk Coffee. This is not an exhaustive list; we’ll talk about several more, but these are the top four I’d recommend.

Best Coffee Forums to Learn About Coffee

These forums and many more are jam-packed with helpful information, tips, and recommendations for all your coffee needs. So, let’s find out a little bit more!

1. Coffee Forums

Homepage screenshot from Coffee Forums.

Coffee Forums is a website dedicated entirely to discussing coffee. While most forum bases such as Reddit, Quora, and so on discuss various topics, “Coffee Forums” focuses on coffee alone.

This forum is unique because it is dedicated wholeheartedly to making your coffee-drinking experience the absolute best it can be. So, what can you find in this forum?

The first thing you’ll notice when you navigate the website is that the announcements and space for introductions are pinned to the top of the page.

In the Announcements forum, you can find information about upcoming events, page changes, and so on.

In the Introductions forum, you’ll find space to let everyone know who you are and why you’re here. The Introductions forum is also a great place to get to know other newbies on the site.

From here, you can start reading. You can either search for a forum or simply access the New Posts tab in the navigation bar.

Let me enlighten you if you’re curious about what information you can find on Coffee Forums.

Coffee Forums provide space for users to discuss why they love drinking coffee, their favorite coffee drinks, reviews of various coffee machines and shops, great books and other resources about coffee, and even all your “stupid” questions about coffee-related things.

You can find information about what coffee machines are best to buy, how to start owning a coffee shop, and how to fix your machines if they break.

This forum is genuinely packed full of information, but let’s look at some others!

2. Home Barista

Homepage screenshot from Home-Barista.

Home Barista identifies themselves as “your guide to exceptional coffee,” and I can’t disagree with this description. This forum is chock-full of information on all the details when it comes to coffee making.

While other forums, such as Coffee Forums, focus on a wide range of topics, the forums on Home Barista’s site are dedicated to things such as espresso reviews, coffee grinder reviews, talking about high-end coffee equipment, and so on.

This forum is highly organized as well. The first thing you’ll notice when you navigate to the page is a simple description of the forum.

The menu is on the left-hand side of the page, and it’s here where you can see information about all sorts of topics.

The page contains a link to frequently asked questions, reviews, how-to’s, and so on.

Once you get into the actual forums, which can be navigated through the left side menu.

You can find information surrounding the coffee marketplace, what espresso machines are the best, tips and tricks for making the best espresso, and tons of buying advice.

This forum is unique in that it concentrates on more than just solving problems.

The users of Home Barista make sure that the information that they’re sharing is helpful to the community.

Many of the posts are actually built similarly to an article as far as structure and information go.

What makes this site worthwhile is how detailed the information on it is. The users of Home Barista tend to be exceptionally knowledgeable.

If you’re looking to learn to make coffee and espresso at home, this is the place to be.

3. Coffee Snobs

Homepage screenshot from Coffee Snobs.

Coffee Snobs is another forum that’s organized in a way that’s extremely easy to navigate.

When you open up the home page, you’ll notice the site suggests you check out the FAQ page before getting started.

The Frequently Asked Questions section is really helpful. It goes over the ins and outs of a community bulletin board and how to best use the forum page.

It also provides information on how to find your way around the forums and how to get started posting.

You do have to register in order to post on Coffee Snobs, but it’s well worth the extra effort involved in registering quickly.

The forums page is exceptionally well structured. At the top, you can find forums concerning news about Coffee Snobs specifically, as well as about some other topics.

Below that, you can find the forums concerning current events listed under Market Square.

There are all kinds of topics on this forum, with everything from the specificities of making coffee in a myriad of ways to where you can get the best flavors and what everyone’s favorite drink is.

There’s also a fantastic section on equipment, which covers grinders, roasters, and other brewing equipment. This is a great place to learn about beginning specialty coffee making.

The main thing that I love about this page is that it is so structured. There is such a diversity of topics on this forum, but you’ll always know how to access what you’re looking for.

There’s even an entire section dedicated to the very best coffee shops in the area.

The downside to that idea is that this forum is based in Australia, so you may not find anything close by unless, of course, you’re living in or visiting Australia.

4. Talk Coffee

Homepage screenshot from Talk Coffee.

Talk Coffee is based in the United Kingdom, and it is another forum that is jam-packed with helpful information and interesting topics.

On the Forum page, you’ll first see a section for announcements, and then it launches into all the good forums.

There’s a space for new coffee drinkers to gather and learn about the basics. There’s a place for coffee lovers to get together, drink their coffee, and chat about life and all things coffee.

There are also tons of educational resources about coffee machines, grinders, lever machines, and the best way to get excellent brewed coffee. You can even learn about the science of coffee.

This forum is a great place to relax in a sort of virtual lounge. It’s a great place to sit while you drink your morning coffee and just tune into the world around you.

You can even visit the Off-Topic section for a chat that’s about things that aren’t coffee-related.

Many people visit Talk Coffee to buy and sell as well. You can find all kinds of things that are listed at a great price, as well as free coffee-related items.

There’s also a space to post things that you’re looking to purchase. The thing that makes this page stand out is the relaxed atmosphere.

It’s still very well structured, but visiting the page feels like you can just fall into it and spend your time interacting with people who think like-mindedly.

Additional coffee forums to check out

Below, I’ll discuss some additional forums you can check out. While these aren’t at the top of the list, they’re still full of great information.

However, the information on these pages is overall less organized, and it can definitely be harder to find what you’re looking for.

Let’s get into a few of these.

1. Barista Exchange

Homepage screenshot from Barista Exchange.

Barista Exchange is unique in that it contains both forums and blog posts. However, the information is not overly structured.

Like Coffee Forums, Barista Exchange doesn’t organize its forums page in any specific way.

You’ll find yourself sifting through a wide variety of topics without any real direction on where to go.

The Blog Posts section, however, is full of information on everything from making sure your internet cafe has reliable service to local business relationships for cafe owners to what repairs you should make immediately versus ones that can wait longer.

This section contains a ton of useful information to get started in the coffee business if you’re looking to start your own cafe.

As far as the forums go, you can find information on fundraising opportunities, why your coffee behaves in certain ways, and the best coffee machines on the market.

You can also get involved with a lot of the fundraisers if you happen to live in the area.

2. Reddit coffee forums

Homepage screenshot from Reddit coffee forum.

Ah, Reddit. It seems like we use it for everything, and coffee is no exception.

Reddit is full of information on all kinds of various topics, so you have to actually look for your fellow coffee enthusiasts. However, once you get there, there are many new things to discover.

Reddit is a really good option if you have questions about multiple topics or things that are coffee-related but not in an in-depth way.

There is a huge diversity of people who come from all different types of backgrounds. All these people come together to answer your coffee questions.

If you choose to use this forum, you can expect to receive more opinions than actual information, but if you’re looking for reviews on cafes, machines, and so on, this is a fantastic resource.

Reddit isn’t organized in any certain way, and it can take a good bit of time to find what you’re looking for.

It’s best used when you’re in a place where you have a lot of time and you can just browse around and search for interesting topics and questions.

3. Home Roasters

Homepage screenshot from Home Roasters.

Home Roasters is one of the best forums for learning about how to roast your own beans if you’re interested in coffee brewing from scratch.

While the page isn’t super structured, it isn’t that hard to navigate, either. The page is organized starting with the latest active forum threads.

This section contains questions, new ideas, and opinions on all things coffee.

The nice part is that this is another forum that is specifically dedicated to talking about coffee, so you aren’t going to have to sift through a lot of excess information that you’re not actually searching for.

There’s also a huge Discussion Forum down below the latest active threads. Here, you can find information about community outreach, new member introductions, and upcoming events if you live in the area.

This is also the place where you’ll find the majority of information on the roasting process. There’s even a post on all the roasting terms you need to know.

The thing that really makes this forum stand out is how much quality information it provides.

The users who post on Home Roasters are very knowledgeable about coffee overall, and if you’re looking to learn all things coffee, this is the way to go.

4. Coffee Geek

Homepage screenshot from Coffee Geek.

Coffee Geek is the final forum I’ll be talking about today, and it is by far the best when it comes to genuine good information.

The page is extremely well structured, divided into sections into opinions, reviews, and how-tos.

The downside to this page is that it’s not as friendly when it comes to interacting with other people on the page.

The page is full of information about anything you can think of, and it’s an enormously useful resource when it comes to wanting to learn new things.

It’s also one of the best options if you’re looking for reviews on various coffee machines, drinks, and coffee shops.

You can find someone’s review on nearly anything you’re thinking of.

Coffee Geek’s How-To section is one of the best features. This section contains tons of information on how to do nearly anything related to coffee.

You can learn how to make various high-end coffee drinks, such as macchiatos, at home. There’s also information on how to repair your coffee makers if they break.

Mocha macchiato, ready to drink.

The thing that I love about Coffee Geek is how the information is laid out. This forum makes it so easy to discover exactly what you’re looking for while still having the option to browse freely.

There are hundreds of forums out there, but this is definitely one of the best!
