You'll learn how to make a caramel macchiato. This coffee is made with homemade caramel sauce, or you can use a store-bought version.
What you'll learn:
Ingredients used in this recipe:
1. 2% fat milk 2. Espresso coffee 3. Vanilla syrup 4. Homemade caramel sauce
1. Make a caramel sauce
If you want, you can make your own caramel sauce. You can also use a store-bought caramel sauce if you prefer.
2. Brew espresso
Brew a single or double shot of espresso with a coffee brewer of choice. I've used a Moka pot to brew my espresso.
3. Steam the milk
Start steaming the milk. Aim to have a slight foam in the milk. The foam will help carry a nice layer of caramel sauce on your drink.
4. Add vanilla syrup
Start by adding a tablespoon of vanilla syrup to a tall glass of choice.
5. Add espresso coffee
Add your freshly brewed espresso coffee to the glass. You can give this a quick stir, so the flavors are well combined.
6. Add the steamed milk
Add the steamed milk to the glass. The small foam layer looks nice, and you can add more caramel sauce to the top!
7. Finish the coffee
Finish the coffee by adding the homemade caramel sauce to the drink. Drizzle as much as you want in the coffee and enjoy!
